Ed Green

Ed Green is a visual, multimedia artist, whose eye inspires his artwork. His art composes colours, textures and shapes. His ideas inform the medium, processes and materials with which he works, forming a ‘Bricolage’ approach.

Ed’s art aims for personal interaction. His decisions when making work are based on finding harmony between composition and colour. One theme in his work is sustainability, highlighting issues, such as, the waste around us.

Ed has lived in different countries and experienced other cultures. In Leeds, there is a surplus of waste materials, and this has inspired his work, finding and making most pieces for free. Out of economic necessity, being creative and seeing potential in found or scrap materials.

Ed’s intention is to create art that can be experienced, interacting with people with his compositions, responding to space, an obsession with colour, playing with scale, and bridging the gap of subjectivity.
